PROUD Partners to Address Thailand’s Health Crisis Paving the Way for Sustainable Development and Improved Quality of Life

PROUD is committed to enhancing the quality of life for Thai people by aligning national sustainable development goals (SDGs) with efforts to tackle health and well-being challenges, one of Thailand’s most pressing issues. The company is driving policies toward becoming a sustainable organization and fostering collaborations with various expert partners. PROUD has initiated the "Wellness District" and other upcoming projects to create sustainable cities and communities by improving the quality of life for people living near its developments. The initial phase will focus on the Convent Road area in Sathorn, with plans to expand to Hua Hin in October.

Mr. Pasu Liptapanlop, Executive Director of Proud Real Estate Public Company Limited (PROUD), shared that the company's expertise in luxury real estate development is guided by a vision to provide homes and condominiums that deliver a high and sustainable quality of life. Currently, PROUD is deeply committed to sustainability in all aspects, including environmental, social, and good corporate governance. The company has strategically planned and implemented policies to address social and community issues sustainably. Beyond setting a target for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, PROUD also supports initiatives aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

According to the 2024 Sustainable Development Report (SDR) and SDG Index, one of Thailand's most challenging issues identified in the 2024 SDG assessment is health and well-being (SDG3). PROUD’s collaboration with communities and various organizations has highlighted significant health and well-being issues, presenting an opportunity for the company to contribute positively. This initiative begins with areas near PROUD’s projects, leveraging partnerships across all sectors to ensure the projects’ continuity and true sustainability.

Recently, the company joined forces with business partners and government agencies to organize the "Wellness District" event, offering free health check-ups to residents around Convent Road, Sathorn, and the neighboring communities of the ROMM Convent project. The event aimed to enhance public access to better health care and disease prevention through various services, including the administration of four-strain flu vaccines, blood tests, general health check-ups, physical fitness assessments, and eye exams. Attendees also received health consultations from doctors and specialists from BNH Hospital, along with healthy meal boxes.

This event was made possible through the collaboration of several organizations, including Health Plaza Co., Ltd., developer of the Bedee application under Bangkok Hospital, BNH Hospital, Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd., 27 Engineering Co., Ltd., Hitachi Industrial Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Pro Life Plus Public Co., Ltd. Additionally, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Bang Rak District Office supported the event by raising public awareness and encouraging community participation. PROUD played a key role in coordinating these expert entities, fostering collaboration for broader and more sustainable outcomes. The company plans to expand the Wellness District project to Hua Hin in October, focusing on communities near the Vehha Hua Hin condominium and InterContinental Residences Hua Hin.

Throughout its history, PROUD has emphasized its commitment to becoming a sustainable organization, addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues comprehensively. The company aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and adheres to policies aligned with the UN SDGs, considering the specific needs of Thailand and its local communities. PROUD’s goal is to offer everyone the opportunity to experience "more than just living" through an enhanced and sustainable quality of life,” Mr. Pasu stated.
